What summer looks like

Tuesday was my last day of class, now I only have finals. In my year (I’m a sophomore) you can only exempt three subjects plus french because we had the DELF exam in April. Well, I was really happy because I exempt English, Religion and Math, but turns out I could also exempt Spanish (which is really a lot to study, so I was really hoping to exempt that) and Chemestry. So now I only have to take Biology, Math and History.

BUT! Yesterday I got my drivers licence and I’m incredibly excited because I drove all the way to school today all on my own.

Tomorrow there’s a party at my friend’s house and it promises to be really good.

Next step is getting ready to leave for six weeks to Interlochen. I’m really happy and excited and nervous. I don’t really know what to expect at Interlochen, but I hope it is as good as it sounds. I’m really looking forward to leave this place for a while and reconect with mi inner art. I’ve abandoned it for a long time.

Maybe it’s the last time

When was the last time you told someone how much they mean to you? When was the last time someone said that to you?

In the face of some recent events, I feel the need to say that I haven’t said “I love you” enough. There are so many people I wish I could talk to right now and I can’t. I think everyone has lost a loved one, and if you haven’t, then I wish you never do. I haven’t lost a parent, but I sort of lost a sibling, I lost a woman who helped shape the person I am today. I can’t even remember the last time I told either of them how much they meant to me, how much I loved them. From now on, I’m going to try to say that more often.

People, tell the people you love how much they mean to you, thank them for being in your life, and apreciate the little things. You never know if it will the last chance you get.
